EXPERIENCES

Once the English students of Denstone College enjoyed in Zaragoza, we travelled to England, our plane took off in Stansted airport on the 24 of June and we moved to London. There, we could relax and the next day, we visited London city, we took some pictures with the Big-Ben, the London Eye, Victoria Station or the Buckingham Palace. In the afternoon, we took a train to Ashbourne; the reason was that our English friends were waiting for us. At the beginning, everybody was nervous, because we hadn’t seen them for a long time, and then each Spanish student stayed in an English student house. The next day everybody met Denstone College and attended lessons. The college is enormous. It has got courts to play tennis, some pitches, a swimming pool. It was really shocking to share rooms where students could play billiards, table tennis or watching TV on comfortable sofas when they were in their free time. In the evening we had fun because we were invited to different parties. People were very pleasant and welcoming. We visited different towns and places of interest such as: Liverpool, Nottingham, or Derby. We had time to visit the stadium of Anfield in Liverpool and the Beatles museum as well. A day we went to Alton towers, it is a thematic park and it was great fun. Despite the fact that the weather in England is terrible we could enjoy a sunny weather. This exchange is something I’ll never forget.
